Timeline of FRII

Spring, 1995 - The idea of FRII was hatched by Bill, Brad, and Andy.

August, 1995 - Front Range Internet becomes incorporated.

September, 1995 - FRII opened its doors in a small office on Linden Street in Fort Collins

October 31st, 1995 - FRII went online and started passing data to and from the rest of the Internet.

November, 1995 - The Tech Support Dept opened with Chris and Neil volunteering their time.

January, 1996 - FRII finally had real employees. Bill, Brad, Andy and Tech Support Dept opened up payroll.

February, 1996 - FRII hosted an open house and was swamped with a packed house of local residents eager to see an ISP and get on the Internet.

September, 1996 - FRII outgrew office space and equipment room - moved next door into larger office.

June 1st, 2000 - FRII acquired and took over Verinet, FRII's largest local competitor.

November, 2000 - Just five years after its birth, FRII was awarded the Front Line Award from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) Business Forum for groundbreaking work performed on the Storm Ready ISP Project.

January, 2002 - FRII appeared in the Denver Business Journal's list of largest Colorado ISP's.

February, 2002 - FRII appeared in the Northern Colorado Business Report's list of Largest Internet Providers.

July, 2002 - FRII won the IQ (Innovative Quotient) Award for the development of its spam and virus filter, MailArmory. The Northern Colorado Business Report created the IQ Award in 2000 to recognize companies for clever, unique and creative new products and services with promising market potential.

November, 2003 - FRII's President and CEO, Bill Ward, won the Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Northern Colorado Business Report's Bravo Awards-after having been nominated three consecutive years.

Early 2005 - FRII outgrows the Old Town facility and plans for a new home: our own building! FRII moves to 3350 Eastbrook Drive in Fort Collins

October, 2005 - FRII celebrates 10th Anniversary with over 52 employees.

September, 2005 - FRII was awarded the prestigious Technology Fast 50 Award by Deloitte & Touche for the fourth years in a row. This list recognizes the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Colorado each year. FRII was number #34.

November, 2005 - FRII is ranked as the Largest Internet Services Provider Largest Telecommunications firm in the area by the Northern Colorado Business Report.

January, 2006 - FRII is honored by The Loveland Chamber of Commerce with the 'Business of the Year' Award for 2005.

February, 2006 - FRII hosts the first V.I.P. VoIP seminar in Northern Colorado. Over 80 guests attended the half-day seminar to learn more about the emerging technology and about FRII: the first company to boldly educate and promote VoIP in the area.

June, 2006 - FRII's CEO, Bill Ward is listed in the NCBR's Who's Who again.

November, 2006 - FRII introduces the first product in the new Elevault Data Management Suite: Email Vaulting.

December, 2006 - FRII is nominated in 4 Categories of the Fort Collins Coloradoan's Best In Business Awards: Best Rising Star, Best Corporate Citizen, Best Place to Work and Best Small Business.

January, 2007 - FRII launches new identity and new web site. A new logo kicked off the new year as a symbol of the fresh, new products and offerings the company is promoting. FRII will continue to offer the same great products and services people throughout Colorado have come to know and love over the past 11 years, but will also continue to grow and broaden technological offerings.

FRII is still growing strong. Adding more members to our talented staff, and continuing the visibility push that has been growing for over 2 years. FRII still embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of the three founders.who still lead the FRII team. FRII has a plan of consistent growth, commitment to 100% Excellence in customer service and goals for increased profitability. Since the year 2000, FRII has increased its annual corporate revenues from $2.89 million to $5.1 million at the end of 2006. Much has been accomplished at FRII since the inception in 1995 and there are many more successes to come!
