Miramont Lifestyle Fitness and FRII team up in Centerra

LOVELAND, COLO. — In 2009, Centerra property manager McWhinney installed fiber optic services for the current and future commercial buildings in the Centerra development. FRII worked with McWhinney and its contractors to engineer the fiber network and will manage the Ethernet over fiber service for McWhinney.

That’s good news for longtime FRII customers, Miramont Lifestyle Fitness, who just opened their newest location in Centerra earlier this summer. The new fitness center, located at 3755 Precision Drive in Loveland, is Miramont’s first location outside of Fort Collins.

FRII and Miramont Lifestyle Fitness have a long professional history that spans over 10 years. Miramont first came to FRII with their IT needs back in 1999, when FRII helped sponsor their Human Race 5K event by providing web site hosting and email services.

Years later, when Miramont merged with the Gym of the Rockies (Miramont’s northern Fort Collins location), the club encountered new technical challenges. At that point, Miramont’s biggest technical hurdle was consolidating their database and phone service between the two locations. Miramont’s general manager, Chris Ramers, explains: “Trying to manage two different locations was difficult with our systems. We could not transfer calls between locations; we would end up telling callers to hang up and call the other location directly. FRII’s Internet and IT services allowed us to not only transfer calls between locations, but also access the same customer database in either location.” In 2008, Miramont added a Central location, and continued to utilize FRII for Internet business services. Currently, FRII provides all connectivity and digital voice services to the fitness company, including the new location.

Naturally, when opening the Centerra location, Miramont jumped at the chance for a fiber optic connection. Since the fiber is pre-installed by McWhinney, new tenants can easily and inexpensively connect to the network. “We had absolutely no technical issues, which is unheard of for new construction,” says Ramers. “The whole process was extremely seamless, and the fiber connection is lightning fast.”
