PRESS RELEASE, FORT COLLINS, CO – April 25, 2014 – Front Range Internet, Inc (FRII) chosen by CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) to provide colocation and private fiber based connectivity for its growing Fort Collins operation. FRII was selected for its locally expanded capacity in colocation space, power, cooling, security, and its ability to provide a private fiber connection between the CA Technologies Fort Collins development site and FRII’s datacenter. Under the announcement today, CA Technologies will move its development servers from its Fort Collins offices into FRII’s Statements on Standards for Attestation Engagement (SSAE) 16 datacenter and connect both sites with a 10 Gigabit fiber optic circuit.
Front Range Internet, Inc. began its expansion of its datacenter last fall adding 3,000 square feet of colocation space, dual power feeds, a 3rd third 700 kilovolt-amps (KVA) backup generator, a 3rd third uninterrupted power supply (UPS), an additional 60 tons of cooling, and a multiple Gigabit connections to the Internet. FRII now provides 2 two suites of colocation space to house its clients’ IT equipment in a highly secure, environmentally redundant space. FRII’s datacenter facility is in an ideal location being free from natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and hurricanes.
“We had stringent requirements when choosing a co-location partner to support our local Fort Collins technology infrastructure needs”, said Richard Robinson, Director of Software Engineering. “Front Range Internet, Inc. is delivering an always available, always on, staffed and monitored facility, including biometric security access to our own hardware, and a private fiber optic ring that meets those requirements, freeing up the local team to focus on our strategic priorities rather than managing infrastructure. We now have the ability to expand our capacity to support our local R&D expansion focused on the CA Nimsoft Monitor product line.”
“We were always planning on expanding our datacenter, but because of clients like CA Technologies we have incorporated the security and additional redundancy that is a must for enterprise customers who provide high-end services to government and corporate entities. Our new datacenter now rivals any other facility you would find within the Rocky Mountain Region”, said Bill Ward, President and CEO of Front Range Internet, Inc. “We look forward to working with CA Technologies in providing the highest level of services and support they need for their operation.”
